DeLorean Labs, the blockchain division of the iconic 1980s car manufacturer, has enlisted Star Trek actor Sir Patrick Stewart to promote its forthcoming electric vehicle. The partnership coincides with the launch of onchain vehicle reservations using sui NFTs for the DeLorean Alpha 5 EV—the brand’s first new model in four decades.

"They say the best way to predict the future is to create it," Stewart remarked in a promotional video. The Alpha 5 is slated for a 2027 release and will reportedly offer color options including red, white, and gray. While DeLorean maintains separate digital properties for its classic cars and crypto initiatives, the Labs division represents a strategic Web3 push for the reborn automaker.
